I'll believe it when I see it. Personally, since PDC will only have a Pre-Beta version available at the end of October, I have trouble believing that we will see a full final release in June. My money is still on 2010

It's not possible, there is still a lot more work to do and there is Beta1, Beta2, RC's and finally the RTM release is estimated around November 2009, public release in January 2010.

That's what my money is on too. At best we'll get a copy of Vista's launch with a RTM in late 2009 and public launch in 2010, but given the compressed timetable I think an RTM in 2010 is more likely.

If it really is June 09 then all it's going to be is Vista SP2 with a new name slapped on it.

I sincerely doubt a Jun 09 release, but since 7 is essentially a Vista service pack, and 7 will have a lot of its integrated features removed for digital downloads, its development may be quicker than other MS operating systems.
