Windows 7 v. Vista 64X

Well buying a good game would be a better step towards the "ultimate gaming experience" than nitpicking over the OS. Starcraft II for example will be as amazing on XP or vista as it will be on windows 7.

But anyways just to give you a tangible answer go with windows 7 x64 when its released, its basically vista but better, if thats not an option vista x64 would suffice. OSX will likely play starcraft II as well :p

I'll be downloading and installing the RC version tomorrow for my test box but as for a main OS I would at least wait until it's released. So far win 7 has been great though I did run into a slight problem with networking which, I found out later, was a known issue with the build I had. The funny thing is I mainly use this box for an extra lan party machine and it has worked great... when it decides it wants to recognize the network.

Can't wait for the RC, I figure I'll have my MS friends pick me up retail copies when they are out and upgrade my main PC's at home right away.
