Windows 7 Upgrade Question

I am preparing to make an attempt to make a clean upgrade install to Windows 7. I have a question that I would like answered before I start. My present hard drive is partitioned to C and F. I wish to reformat the drive to just C. I run Flight simulator and would like to later add a WD VelociRaptor hard drive just for flight simulator. My data is backed up on Carbonite. My question is will I have trouble transferring the data in my old F drive to the reformatted C drive ?.

ASUS P5Q Pro

EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 640 MB
WD 250GB GB SATA II
Corsair CMPSU 550W
Windows XP Home

No, you shouldn't have any problems, but I highly suggest keeping your data on a separate partition and the OS on another. If you need to reformat or upgrade for any reason, all of your data doesn't need to be backed up. You just wipe the C partition and re-install the OS. I did this recently going from XP to 7 and it was very convenient.

I agree with sivart. Keeping the OS separate is a big life saver if you ever have to reinstall in the future.
