Windows 7 sharing

I have been trying to share folders on my desktop to other laptops and devices (win7, android, Ubuntu) on my network. For some reason nothing can access the shares from the hard drive with encodes and music. I always get an message saying invalid user/password or no permission. I can access the homegroup folder shares just fine though.

I turned off/down all the security settings, and enabled netbios.

Just can't figure it out!!!

First thing you need to do is download and install wireshark. Then you can see what the actual errors are on the network. The password or permission errors can actually be lots of different things.
