I'm working on a Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit system. I need to download software from a web site for a hand held bar code scanner. When I go to the site and try to download the software I get a login screen for a user and password to the server. Don't know what server it is talking about. I don't have a server on the network. I can download software from sites like download.com or tucows.com with no problem. I have changed all security settings to allow still does not help. Any suggestion would greatly apprecited.

Thanks in advance.

Well... Apparently the software from a web site is not available to everyone, and has a logon credential screen.

Umm yeah OP. This isn't in Windows... this is the website's security. Apparently to dload whatever you want, you are required to enter a username/pass. Either by paying, registering or whatever.

There's been a lot of "interesting" questions on AT today it seem.

Or it's a scam and they're phishing for your commonly used username/password.

It would help, Hunter, if you could provide a link and/or name of the software you're trying to download.
