Windows 7 reports it is not connected to the Internet

THe title says it all.

Windows 7 v7100 reports in the notification area that I am connected to the Network, but not connected to the Internet. However, it is actually connected.

This has been a problem since I removed the beta version and installed RC1.

Any ideas???

I had seen a similar issue during the early days of vista as well and it turned out that i had to update the network card driver from the vendor and not build in driver

Gary, go into Internet Options and rebuild the connection. I went through the same thing. Your current Win 7 sees your connection as LAN only. You need to add Broadband, etc.

Thanks for the input . . . I forgot to mention that I had already tried that without success.

Corky,
Thanks for the obvious. As a pre-release operating system, I was looking for something a little more exotic and didn't even give a thought to uninstall the adapter and allow the OS to reinstall it and refresh its settings.
