Windows 7 put to sleep problem

When I go to Control Panel>System and Security>Power Options> Plan Settings and Put the computer to sleep I choose NEVER. The reason is I have some backups that take quite a while. However my computer still goes into the sleep mode after a while. I have gone through this several times. How do I fix this? Thanks in advance

Here's my silly question. Did you click "save changes"
I have created new plans, and shut off sleep due to a bad bios, and it ALWAYS works for me.

Another silly question: Did you play around with the 'advanced power settings'? There are some other sleep related settings you might adjust. Try setting sleep after:... to 0. This should be redundant and unnecessary, but I really don't have any other ideas.

That might be it. Also, along the line of checking the other "advanced power settings," make sure hibernate and hybrid sleep are disabled.

I did not realize that I has to go further than the Select a Power Plan.
So I did go to Advanced Settings>Sleep and set Sleep After to Never and Allow hybrid sleep to Off anad Hibernate after to Never. My PC stayed on about an hour last night before I shut it off, however after about an hour this morning it went into Sleep. I will keep fooling with it because I am getting ready to do a clean re-install and I need for it to stay on for restoring part of the program files and apps. I sure appreciate the help.
