Hurray, my first problem with Windows 7. Earlier today my computer was running great, shut it off, go out to eat, come back just now, turn it on, it seems as soon as Firefox starts, it freezes. I tried IE, it froze then as well. It's working in Safe Mode, if that tells you anything.. I tried taking my OC off and that did nothing. Loaded Optimized defaults on Motherboard, did nothing. Help :)!

Oh, Also, it's RC (7100), and I'm running a virus scan now, though I doubt I have anything.

Ok, so it sounds like a software/OS issue not hardware.
Are you able to open things like notepad and MS paint?
Are you running Win 7 64 bit?
If 64bit are these apps 32 bit?
What does the event log say is going on, anything standing out?

Cheers, J

Uhh, now after I start Windows, it just immediately locks up, I went in MSconfig and disabled a couple start programs, and now it freezes immediately after loading my desktop. I can still move my mouse around but can't click anything.

64-Bit.

That suggests that the CPU is totally engaged in processing or looking for something. If you can move the cursor, it is not frozen. If you can't click, it is busy. Sounds like a possible memory problem/conflict.

I just did a new install, and this Caviar Black seems snappier than my raptor o_O.
