Hi Guys

I recently upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7 and was wondering if you guys could help me. For some strange reason, Windows 7 is having trouble making a drive letter for my hdd.

The BIOS sees the Hard Disk. Device Manager also sees the Hard Disk. But for some strange reason, I cant access it or see it from the 'Computer' tab.

What can I do?

Thanks

meettomy.site
go into the control panel and click administrative tools, then choose computer management, click ok to grant access, then choose storage, then disk management. (I think there is afaster way to do this, but this is how I remember).

In storage mgmt you will see a list of disks in the top section and bars on the bottom. Those bars represent the partitions and volumes that the system OS sees. find the one that you added and initialize it, format it and choose a drive letter for it.

If you have data on it, it will be lost.

If it's broken, it won't show up.

If you have more questions post them.

thanks

have you tried adding the letter manually in the storage management panel? try that before repartitioning and formatting.
