windows 7 clean install

Hey guys I hae the upgrade disc of windows 7 and iv always had to do the double install method with installing xp first then installing windows 7. i was wondering do I still need to use the double install to actually install windows 7?

Install Windows 7 the first time and don't enter the CD key when it asks. Just leave it blank. When it finishes installing and fully updates, it might take a couple of reboots, put the Windows 7 disk back in and reinstall. This time enter the CD key. This is called the double install trick.

I recommend disconnecting all other hard drives except the one you want to install Windows 7 on.
