Windows 7: Can't save custom profiles in Crystalcpuid

I use my HTPC in two modes: to listen to audio where it doesn't need as much CPU processing power and to watch video where it does. In XP, I had set up two profiles in CrystalCPUID for this, one with the lowest multiplier possible and the other with the highest to manage heat. But I am not able to change the multiplier in Windows 7, even in administrator mode, let alone save it as a profile.

Has anyone else got it to work or is there some other program that I could use to adjust the multiplier on the fly in Windows 7?

P.S.: the processor is a AMD X2 5000+ running on a 780G MB.
