Windows 7 can not access Windows XP machine share

The Windows XP can access the Windows 7 machine just fine but whenever I go to a folder shared on the Windows XP machine I get this error: Login failure: unknown user name or bad password. I know they are correct. Both computers have the same username, password and workgroup.

How do I fix this please so my Windows 7 can access shares easily on the Windows XP machine?

I've access shares on XP from Windows 7 before, but it was an open share with no authentication. Check the share as well as NTFS permissions.
