Windows 7 Build 7127 Is Live

Doesn't this mean that there may (should) be another RC?

After all, the whole point of testing a release candidate is so that you can release it. If you go and change things, then it needs to be tested again. If it passes testing without needing any changes, then that identical code can be released.

7000 public beta
7100 public release candidate
7200 RTM

All other builds are internal and for beta testers only (and bittorrent users).

We are not expecting another RC before RTM. The weekly builds continue just as they have from beta to RC and as they will until RTM.

Interim builds do not concern me. I'll run RC till I can buy the OEM, then I'll upgrade.

Most end users should certainly skip the interim builds since they get them from torrents and we've already seen them trojanized.

many will still get the RC.....

so at least they should confirm the sha1 checksum

If I could simply enter a serial and upgrade the RTM build to a OEM/Retail version I would do the same but from what I have gathered upgrding to any final release version will require a full reinstall

I assume any new build updates will be received through Windows Update, especially critical vulnerabilities. Microsoft has already begun testing the update mechanism with bogus updates.

Where does one find the MD5 Hash, CRC32, & SHA-1 info?
I'm currently downloading build 712 using uTorrent & when I checked the general info on the download, the hash string didn't look anything like above. Mine's showing "Hash: A56728EC5D640D0068309A60FDACFC39DA8E11B8"
Ideas?
Thanks.

*EDIT* Never mind...found a program to check it for me!

I have to say, I'm actually enjoying Windows 7 thus far. Runs considerably snappier for me in Parallels than Vista ever did. Might even look at throwing this on my wife's laptop. Thanks!
