Windows 7 Bluetooth 2.1 pairing with speaker system but audio still from laptop

I just purchased a home theater system (Sony BDV-E3100), partially because it is Bluetooth-ready.

I have a laptop (Lenovo X201t) that has bluetooth.

I have paired them "successfully", but the audio from the laptop is not going to the speakers. All I can do is use my sound system's remote to pause and play songs and movies.

From what I have read this might have to do with Windows 7 and bluetooth drivers. My built-in bluetooth is named "Thinkpad Bluetooth 2.1 with Enhanced Data Rate II" in device manager and is made by broadcom. Any advice?

try this:

Right click the speaker icon in the taskbar, and select playback devices. Set the bluetooth thingy as standard.

 The choice is labeled "Set as Default Device" in the English version of Windows.
