hi guys im thinking to move to the 64 windows.im wondering if it is better concerning the performance of the athlon in general.its a good step?or i will face problems with my system?what about games?

Unless you need to run more than 4GB of RAM, or have specific 64-bit applications that you want to use, there's basically no benefit at the moment. In addition, there are often issues with driver availability, so if you do want to move to x64, be sure you can locate drivers for every device and peripheral you have (or want to use). 🙂

Many drivers are still not available for XP64... Printer drivers are scarce (though Epson has recently started actually putting real XP64 drivers up for download instead of promising them "real soon now"). I still await software for my Logitech mouse. 🙁

I do hear that X64 is pretty zippy tho. Loads way faster than 32 bit brother. And I hear that Farcry 64 is quite nice also if you have that.

Supposedly... If you do anything more than gaming, there's a good chance that you're still going to have to wait on driver support for something, but I am looking forward to trying XP64 when I can.
