Even better. Real geeks use all three.
Was reading the other day that OS X and Linux are seeing a surge of popularity. Still a drop in a torrent but Windows has fallen below 90% usage for the first time since the 90s.

Two words (and a number). Android, Windows 8. Nuff said.
Although I consider myself among those who are seriously considering purchasing a Mac as my next workstation. It all depends on a lot of things though. Mainly how well Windows 9 goes over. But there are some other things.
One thing that I'm really getting tired of is wanting everybody to migrate to their newest OS every 3 years regardless of how shitty it is. And as a result of that, they'll extend less and less support for their previous OS. Windows 7 still has mainstream support, but the reality is that ended once Windows 8 hit the shelved. Anyone who has had to update a fresh install of Windows 7 SP1 knows that the updating process has gotten ridiculous after 3 hours and several restarts. There is no reason to not have another service pack other than M$ not wanting to encourage more sales of Windows 7. And that's just it. They don't want another Windows XP that will stick around for over 12 years, and Windows 7 looks like it might be poised to do just that given it's current market share and how poorly Windows 8 was received. Furthermore, you know M$ is going to do with Windows 8 what they did with Vista, and that is; they aren't going to fix it until after it's successor hits the shelves at which point nobody will give a fuck. And in all reality you can just as well say Windows 8 mainstream support has ended because the Windows 9 betas are to be released for testing in May, and hence that's where all their focus will be.
If you want to have a 3 year OS life cycle; then make your shit right the first time around instead of just making the 'second editions' right.
You don't hear alot of complaints whenever Apple releases a new version of OSX. This is because they found something that works that people like, and apparently Apple knows to leave well enough alone.
