windows 2k pro goes to blue screen of death when gaming

hey,

I'm not sure if this post would go under operating systems or software, but everytime my World of Warcraft character goes loads onto the server, it goes to the blue screen of death giving the same "physical dump" error everytime. I can get into the game, i can log onto my account, and the loading bar goes all the way up when I select my character, but as soon as it loads the city that i'm in it goes to that error. Anyone know of why this is happening or how to fix it? Thanks.

actually i thought that i fixed it, but the error came back.

anyone know how to fix it? I'm running radeon 9800pro. thanks.

You can send me the dump files (found in c:\windows\minidumps) and run MPS Reports and send me the resulting .cab file if you like, and chances are good I can tell you what the problem is. Don't forget the topic URL too.

i just found out that Asus Motherboards don't like the Radeon 9800pro so do you think that would be the problem? now when i start it, i'm getting a blank blue screen, no more of that dump. So i think that's the problem.

If you're happy with that solution, then by all means return the 9800 pro.

If you'd like to look at the dump and find out why this happened, let me know and send me that info, and I'll see if I can see anything.

whenever i try to play, it's not giving me the dump error anymore, its just going to a blank blue screen. The "physical dump" error isn't on it. I heard that it also has something to do with blizzard and ati problems =/. Thanks for the help.

Do you have any .dmp files in c:\windows\minidumps? If so, send them to me. Please re-read my previous post on the matter. It appears you're having essentially the same issue.
