I have a laptop that I got in September. It is from a small company called Micro Express. I got it because I am going aborad this semester at college (Australia) and couldn't drag a desktop along. I got it as my desktop replacement (which I sold). SO I still want to be able to do a little bit of gaming mostly EA Sports game (triple play 2001 and NHL 2001. Plus work stuff like dreamweaver, photoshop, illustrator, office, internet.

The problem i have is that I am using Win 98 SE, I have had 2000 on it and Win ME. I like the speed at which Win ME boots up, but it is so unstable. I love the stability of Win 2000 but it seems that my video card doesn't work to well under Win 2000, I update the drivers and everything but I can't play any of my games, except Age of Empires and Starcraft, I like SE but also don't like its stability and security issues, plus everyone keeps telling me that WIn Pro is "god-like" on laptops. Am I missing something or doing something wrong? I have read reviews online that have said that they have gotten Quake 3 to play on WIN Pro, yet I can't even get EA Sports game to play. Anybody have any ideas. PS: I would really not like to use a dual boot. Can anyone help me with the games issue on the laptop with Win Pro?
