windows 2000 setup

I just reformatted a friends computer and loaded windows 2000 professional back onto his computer but the color only shows 16-bit.. what can i do to get that to go to 256-bit or high color 16 bit and to be able to make the screen larger to make it 1024x768 instead of 800x600.

As soon as you install the video drivers for the video card that is being used, you will be able to choose from the different resolutions and colours that the card supports.
