Windows 2000 Server DNS

I want to be able to run my own DNS server. I am running Windows 2000 advanced server running the DNS. I am familiar with DNS and how it works, but I need help in setting it up. Could some give me some hints or perhaps guide me through? Thanks

I'm assuming you have a Static IP. If so you might want to go to NSIRegistry.com and register your nameserver.

Once that's set-up just go to your DNS service and add a new host (e.g. for a website you're thinking of hosting) in the forward DNS entries. Of course those domains should also be set-up to use your nameserver.

If you need more specifics just holler. 🙂
