I'm running my own exchange server ftp server and websites using iis. I'm using a dell 4100 with 512 pc 133 ram and a 1gig p3. These operations don't seem cpu intensive 'but they seem to be ram intensive. For example if I go to tack manager it shows these numbers in the physical ram section 523568 total and 105808 available is this normal.

Sounds normal -- it appears as though your Pagefile.sys (RAM swapfile) is approx. 1GB or x2 the size of your physical RAM. This ideal in my books.

I guess the real question would be, how much of the 1GB is actually being used during peak operation?

I run exchange on dual 500 with 1.5gb ram.. not enuff.. have a lot of data.. thats normal, when I boost from 1gb to 1.5, a big difference... exchange is very ram intensive.. looking for something to support 4-8 gb system...
