Windows 2000 Server and File Replication Service

I'm setting up FRS on our network here and I was wondering if anyone was successful in making the staging area on a remote server? For example I want to have one server's staging area on \\DCserver\server1area and the second server's staging area on \\DCserver\server2area.

But it's not allowing me because they entries aren't "local" to the respective root replicas (server1 and server2) any ideas?

Don't know a whole lot about this but I thought I'd go ahead and try to give you a hand.

These two articles are in relation to moving the staging folder to a different logical drive for different SPs of 2000 server and 2003 server. From what I've read it looks like it may be possible to change the staging path via the registry but in the example they show is a separate folder on the same volume, not a different drive, and definately not a remote share.

Like I mentioned, I don't know much about this but maybe these articles (if you haven't found them already) might lead to some answers for you.
