where i can i find some good info on setting this up, because the walkthroughs that is embedded is horrible

There is many guides out there in the net, just do google and you should fine something that you can understand. Here is one good link for troubleshooting www.jsifaq.com You can find a lot of informations there alone.

Not sure what embedded guide you are referring to, but there is a TON of information about Active Directory and DNS.

Active Directory is a huge topic. It also will not function without another huge topic, DNS. The best way to figure out how to set these up is to understand them both, rather than hoping to find some paint by numbers installation guide.

To that end, stop by the local bookstore and browse through the many titles on Active Directory and DNS. Mastering Windows 2000 Server by Mark Minasi is always a good book to have. I believe there are some great books under the O'Reilly label also.

And of course, there's always google.

I like to go to labmice for alot of great links and articles regarding anything windows networking related.

i went to the bookstore and picked up this book, i will be reading it quickly. thanks in advance
