Windows 2000 REFUSES to boot !!!

This has happened to me 3 times already, can I can't figure out a solution.

Here is what I did:

1. Freshly installs Windows 2000 Pro
2. Installs VIA 4-in-1 v4.28 FINAL. (reboot)
3. Installs the HPT370 Driver for Windows 2000 (reboot)
4. Installed Monitor's Driver (reboot)
5. Video Card XPERT98 already installed by Windows 2000
6. Installed Sound Card Philip Rhymic Edge

Then after I installed the driver for Rhymic Edge, I rebooted the system. After the reboot, Windows 2000 won't start anymore. It stops loading at the VERY first (Dos-like) progress bar after only 2 ticks. I tried Safe-mode and everything, it just won't boot. This is the third time. The second time was after I installed my printer driver, and the don't remember what happened the first time.

Here's the system setup:
Abit KT7-RAID (UL BIOS)
AMD 800
Quantum Fireball AS
ATI XPERT 98
Philip Rhymic Edge.

Does ANYONE know what is going on?

Save mode and "everything" including last known good mode??

yes. Tried everything option.

When I run the Safe Mode, it freezes after showing the following lines:

Does this mean that it froze at the very last line?

are the drivers you installed for the sound card 'official' drivers for win2k? It could be a driver issue. Also what you might try doing is putting in the sound cardd before install so windows can install a driver automatically. I dont know much about your sound card, but this may help
