Windows 2000 Radeon Performance

Has the performance of the Radeon drivers improved any in Windows 2000?

From what? From the original driver set? Definately! The difference between 9x and W2k has closed to about 10% or less, and the stability in 2k is definately getting to be rock solid. I just got the 3100 driver set for 2k up, and its working really well. I get 71 FPS in Q3A all settings maxed at 1024x768x32, but thats on the actual Demo supplied by CNET, so if you want to compare that score, I suppose youd need to find someone who used that copy to benchmark. Overall though the drivers have come a long way.

the newest DX8/etc drivers for win2k are excellent!

during my Unreal T sessions I am averaging between 65 - 80 frames/sec consistently.

Much better than the older drivers.
