Windows 2000 question

Does anyone here know why open GL screen savers and other graphics would be like 200% faster with Win 2000 vs. Win ME? i recently gave up on ME for Win 2000 and couldn't have been happier. It seems to be all around faster and use less of my memory than Win ME, does anyone know why?

OPENGL are pure 32 bits calculations, Since NT is 32 bits and W95/96 etc are not (at least not for 100%) 32 bits, 32 bits operations are executed faster on a NT machine.

This has nothing to do with your question, but keep in mind that open GL uses most of your processor while running. With that in mind, if you leave your screen saver on all night while you sleep, well you processor is cranking while you are sleeping. I always turn them off and delete them on users.
