windows 2000 question

hello

i came across windows 98 server edition, i thought that the NT family was the only MS Windows server OS's.
or windows 95/98 had server functionality only that windows nt 3.5 was more powerful, correct?

my understanding is that there are two windows 2000 editions, windows 2000 server being the server version and windows 2000 professional the home edition whic his a souped down version of windows 2000 server, correct?

I believe both W2K and XP Professional have a max limit of 10 connections, whereas the Server editions don't have this limitation.

There are 4 versions of windows 2000, professional, server, advanced server and datacenter server.

And I don't think there is a Windows 98 server edition, only 98 and 98SE.

thanks for the replies

i guess windows 98 does not have a server edition because it is not NT based and is not meant for multiuser environments

can windows 98 and windows me deal with multiple connections, elbeit limited number of connections?

what is the difference between windows server, advanced server and datcenter server, is it in the number of connections they can serve?
