Hi, I have 5 Gateway 9300XL laptops that I ordered for work sometime ago. I installed Win2000 on all of them. All the hardware have the latest drivers, so no problems there.
But here are my issues.
1: Startup: - Too long.
I know this is never going to be as fast as 98, but is there anything I can do about this?
2: Office 97: - Only prints 1 copy.
In Office 97, if I want to print 5 copies of 1 document. It only ever prints 1 copy. Why is this?
3: Lotus CC-mail 8: - Fax documents print 1 page.
I suppose this could be down to the same prob as Office 97. It only ever prints 1 page, even though there could be 10 pages in total.
4: Frequent lock-ups.
All my users and I get this as well. Sometimes for no reason at all, you click on an application and the system freezes, give it a few minutes and it startup. This could be for anything, even control panel.
I am really thinking of trying out WinME. But I like 2000 because no-one has experianced any crashes. And at the end of the day, 2000 is rock solid?
Is there anyone who could shed any light on these problems? Or should I wait for the service pack, and hope these solve the problems?
