windows 2000 PRO with fat 32

im running win2000 pro with fat 32, upgraded from windows 95, i was just wondering if the ntfs file format is anygood for performance and sh1t. If so, how much diffrence does it make, i dont really care about security, this is just a general computer, not some computer in the CIA.

NTFS does not have to read the File Allocation table when accessing partitions, thus it runs faster in that aspect alone.
If you have more than one drive, you should see a big difference.

NTFS is secure and stable, convert to it using the windows 2000 "conversion tool"

go to a command prompt and type convert.
It will show you the options you have.

NTFS is, unlike FAT32, a journaling filesystem, which (in short) means that it's very unlikely to end up with corrupted files and stuff after a crash (remember Scandisk with Win95? Win2k w/ NTFS doesn't need such an utility ).
