Windows 2000 Pro and IE dont get along, I have weird issue!

I have Windows 2000 Pro, I set it up on many PC's of mine and everytime I startup I get the IE message that I cant go online. It gives me 2 options, Try Again and Stay Offline. I press Try again and I go online to my homepage. But I do not know why it happens EVERYTIME. I am using a Lynksis 4Port Router Hub and all my other PC's connected to this Hub and they have no issues (win 98,XP,ME) but 2000 has this problem alot.
Anyone knows what can cause this??
(it is set at Detect IP automatically, and everything)

I get this from time to time when i build a PC.
It usually has to do with not having a connection the first time i launch the browser...then it seems like every subsequebt time (even with a connection) IE is convinced it needs me to point it to one.
Once i end up installing a new browser version it goes away.

Weird proxy settings can make this happen. You might want to disable auto proxy detection, unless you need it for some other reason, and see if that changes things. You might also double-check Tools->Internet Options->Connections->(choose your connection settings) to see if anything's amiss.

I second that. 🙂
