Don't know what I did wrong, fresh install of Win 2000 and each time I boot up get a password log in screen on the desktop. Is there an easy way to get rid of this so it doesn't appear again...??? Thanks for the help...
Nothing "wrong" with that...2K is based on NT, so both require a login upon boot for user management and security. You can automatically log in using TweakUI (use the logon tab) or you can UNcheck "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" under Control Panel > Users and Passwords.
exactly what she said. That should do the trick. However if you don't want people messing with your computer you might want the password thing on there.
