Got three Windows 2000 computers on a LAN, trying to file share between them. Two of them work fine, but the third refuses to allow the others to see any files without authenticating and won't accept any login account. Tried setting permissions to Everyone, Administrators, creating new accounts - nothing. The only difference in settings between the machine as far as I can tell is the uncooperative one is using FAT32 instead of NTFS. Thanks.

When you establish a share on a FAT32 volume, you get to specify what permission you're granting. I can't imagine this problem being related to FAT32 vs. NTFS, I don't have any problem sharing either type of filesystem.
