Windows 2000 DialUp Networking problems

Ok guys i went to install a regular modem (USR 56k Ext) under Windows 2000 AS and put in all my isp settings. It connects just fine but it appears that im having a DNS resolution problem. I have this machine set up as a dhcp,DNS Server for the local network, ADS, and PDC. I went into internet explorer and double checked that it was trying to use the ISP Adapter and it was. I even tried telneting and that failed to. I tried the same configuration on a client machine on this network using Win2000 Proff and everything worked perfectly but i would like to run everything off the server so i don't have to do port mapping. Does anyone know what could be going on?
