Using the Microsoft Client for Novell Networks, is there any way to get the netware tree and context entered in automatically for each new user who logs in? Now it appears that each time a new user logs into a machine they have to enter it manually. After it has been entered once for a given user, it is set permanantly. However we are trying to avoid having to have the users enter it at all. TIA

P.S.
I know this can be done with the NOVELL client if installed. However we are trying to minimize adding any additional software.

use the novell client.

I know this isn't the answer you wanted, but if you run netware networks you really need to use the NW client.

Yes you could use the GWSN, but I would recommend installing the Novell client. This will not affect anything on the clients computer, but you are better off installing the Novell client. I would not recommend using the Microsoft client, unless you have some Novell 3.x servers. Anything that requires logging into NDS, Microsoft even recommends installing and using the Novell client from Novell.

yep, the novell client. We did not have much employee complaints when we switched from the microsoft client to the novell. Also gives much better stability in 98 when printing to HP
printers with netware print queues. We were getting some crashes with the microsoft client.
God bless novell (for file serving) unbelievable reliability.
