When I try to access the drive my computer crashes. When I look at services it shows that "ziptoA" service has stopped. When I restart the service my computer freezes then the service stops again. I have the latest drivers installed. I have all the updates and I reinstalled a couple of times to no avail. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There is an Iomega Zip fix for Win2K. It is available separately, but I think it is also rolled into SP1.

I've installed all the updates. Including SP1. I had a Zip 250 Parallel External and it worked fine, but I am having problems with the Zip 100 External. I did a clean install of Windows 2000 and still the problem continues.

Try it on a different win2k machine. It could be the drive itself. Mine works fine.

I am still experiencing this problem when using Windows 2000 professional with my IOMEGA ZIP 100 EXTERNAL. I install the newest drivers then I shut down the pc then turn on the pc after 5 minutes. When I get back to the desktop I do not see the "successfully installed iomega drive" screen that you see when you install the same drivers in windows 98 or 95 or ME. I believe I have all the latest updates installed unless there are other patches that Microsoft does not have available in the windows update site. My problem is every time I try to access the drive I'm unable to use it for more than 20 seconds - after 20 seconds my system will lock up and I have to eject the zip 100 catridge to make my system stable again. If there is a fix that is not available via windows update then please let me know. Thanks.
