Well aware that most people don't have issues with it. We're well past that point, lol

Anyway, the Windows 11 self-checker (like sfc) is pretty much worthless. It doesn't detect any issues at all, and other built-in self-checkers fail miserably at detecting any problems too. Windows really just is a PoS OS, but unfortunately they have themselves so deeply embedded into the industry that they're hard to fully replace

Over the summer, I'm going to just fully reinstall my OS with a fresh Windows 11, as who knows what else is messed up in it that it's not detecting. I've had other issues since upgrading too, so since I'll have free time over summer, figure it makes sense. I just dread it, as I have so many special configurations, setups, etc., that it is a multi-day process
Lol. My bad, apparently. I was responding to a post that was made Thursday.

Unfortunately, this solution does not seem to work from the Taskbar "Overflow" area in 24H2.

At the end of my taskbar, there is an ellipsis (...) -- clicking that shows additional pinned apps. There does not seem to be a way to move these pinned apps from the overflow area.
Omg, this actually works!!! Finally, something that works!!!

Phil, you are amazing. Thank you so much for posting this. Now, I can finally get things organized and consistent with my laptop.

I appreciate this more than words can describe. I use my PC for college, work, leisure, video chat with my kids (they live quite a ways away), video games with my kids, and tons of other the stuff. So, this is HUGE for me. Again, thank you so very, very much!

Just came across after suffering the same fate after a recent update. Solved mine with a third party software "O&O ShutUp10++".

NOTE: If you're going to use it, first export settings from "File> Export settings" in the app. Then go to actions and select "Undo all changes". If anything goes wrong with personalization, just import the previous settings which you exported.

On a side note, if you decide to use it further for other purposes, export settings you set, and reimport them whenever windows update and changes something.
Also keep in mind, if you uninstall and reinstall a program (to another location), do export the settings again and replace them with the previous one to avoid any problem.
