Question Windows 10 won't recognize new router unless I use ethernet-to- USB 3.0 adapter?

Losing my mind a bit here. Replaced my old 2016 Netgear Nighthawk AC1750, for which I had no problems, with a TP-Link AX3000. Did it because 1) the Netgear was old, and 2) I upgraded my Internet service to gigabit and figured with a new modem I might as well replace the router. On Charter Spectrum 1Gbps/35Mbps service.

Haven't been able to connect to my PC via ethernet since. The wireless network in the house works great, but unless I connect using a Cat6 cable into one of those ethernet-to-usb 3 adapters, no wired connection works. Tried every version of rebooting, updated the router firmware, ran Windows network diagnostics. Even went out and bought a mid-range Asus router because I became convinced it was the TP Link, but have the same issues. Had Charter out to the house to check everything up to and through the modem, and it's all good. They replaced a bunch of connectors, but speeds and jitter and latency all look great at the modem.

Ideas?

Appreciate it.

Did you set static IP on your PC? Maybe Netgear and TP-LInk are on different IP range.

Set ehernet to DHCP and re-try or reset network.
