I built a new computer:

Asrock x399
Threadripper
128gb ram
Samsung 2TB 960 PRO m.2

I purchased the retail version of Win 10 on a USB stick from Newegg

I select 64bit install.. Win blue logo appears.. nothing else happens for hours

Keyboard is no longer lit and ctrl alt del doesnt work so I'm guessing the computer is locking up immediately upon install?

Any suggestions on how to fix this and get win 10 to install?

Thanks

Do you have another computer you could use to make an updated installer thumb drive?

I'd give that a try then. Download the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft, make fresh install media and see if it does the same thing.

If this is the "problematic" X399 board with the Wifi, disable the Wifi in the BIOS. Otherwise, installing / booting Win10 is going to be like heck. At least, from reading some of the complains about it.

I found the answer buried in a comment on newegg! lol... it worked!

"-Try disabling IOMMU in BIOS if fresh installing Windows from USB stick and it freezes/hangs on boot. Hopefully this saves some headaches for some people. My BIOS version (1.30) had it set to AUTO and caused issues for me until it set it to DISABLE."
