windows 10 not working

Okay, so today, I decided to try and give Windows 10 a try. I licked on the windows 10 icon on the taskbar, and upgrade, then it says "doing a quick check on you pc", then windows update pops up saying: Windows isn't activated. This here doesn't make any sense because windows is activated its been activated ever since I bought it back 09. This makes no sense. Anyone encountered a similar problem? how do I fix this. I'm not going to call Microsoft, as they like to bullshit all the time, and I don't have time to repeat myself to foreign who can barely speak english.

I would check control panel system and make sure that your install is indeed activated. If it shows activated I'd give ms tech support a shout and explain the problem to them in a call and reasonable manner and maybe even snip the screen showing it's activated so they can see it.

Control Panel / System. Last section down will tell you if your system is Activated.

😎

Now my OS does not even saying Windows is Activated anymore! I've been having this shit for 6 years, activated now as soon as start with this windows 10 problems arise! 😡

You can complain and curse here from now until Doomsday it will result in Activating the OS.

Use this to find what the installation key is and call MS Support.

😎

you make it seem like it will, but I get it.
You understand the frustration, right?

Anyways, what am I supposed to do with this? is it something I download? WIll this work for Windows 7 pro? (after seeing this):
Microsoft Windows 7 (Doesn't work with Microsoft Volume Licensing)

And why is MS being suggested? Isn't this the place where all the professionals nerds are at?

The free upgrade does not apply for volume licensing. Did you make a backup before you upgraded?

I haven't upgraded yet, I was trying to update, not sure anymore really, but I'll try to pull through. Just want to know why its saying windows isn't activated when it clearly is. MS be wanted me to do all that extra stuff. really.

If you upgrade at this point, Windows 10 will not activate. If you check Windows 7 system properties and Windows does not state it is activated, then it is not - irrespective of whether it was activated in the past. Try entering a new product key via the "activate windows" button and enter your current key. It is possible that your activation information was corrupted by either software or a hardware problem.

Does your computer have a COA affixed to it somewhere? Do you have an installation disc with COA? If so, use the key on the COA.

If you feel there is an error and that your copy of Windows 7 SHOULD be legitimately activated, call Microsoft and go through their procedure. Nobody here is going to tell you how to use an illegal method to activate Windows 7.

How am I going to entering a new product key without buying it? (Not suggesting that either)

their isn't even a "Activate windows" button.
And what is COA?
...This is shitty.

COA is certificate of authenticity from Microsoft. It's rectanagular in shape and has rounded edges. Usually affixed to the side or back of tower computers. Sometimes on the bottom or under the battery on laptops.

If your install is not activated and you cannot produce a proper key, you might try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE you did whatever you did.

How do I do a system restore? may just prove its still activated.

Well if it is reporting that it isn't activated then clearly it isn't activated. If you're running a legitimate copy of windows call ms tech support and tell them what is happening.
