windows 10 fresh install question

hello.should i install the drivers(chipset/lan....) from asus after a fresh install?
i checked asus site and the drivers seem pretty old for my mb z97m plus..
does microsoft install newer ones automatically?

Usually, win 10 will install "generic" drivers, if it don't install the last WHQL drivers, and those are OK.
If your motherboard has special drivers, then, it is usually best to go the the company that actually made the device in question, and not go to Asus, since they tend to be behind.

For example, a intel NIC / GPU / chipset, go to intel's site for latest drivers.
 
thanks for the reply,i guess ill stick with the generic drivers since everything works ok.
the chipset drivers on intel site dont even say for win.10 and are also pretty old...
 
Go to asus and get their latest drivers for your board. Get the intel driver update utility and let it scan for the latest drivers.
