Memtest86 run for 30 hours withoout errors.
don't care
pull one stick, see how it does, then switch the sticks
Memtest86 run for 30 hours withoout errors.
in my experience, when some data fails to read on one day, and then the next day it is read fine, it is 99% likely to be the ssd.Data corruption doesn't come and go every few weeks or so.
How else would you diagnose this issue ?You do realize you are advising someone to RMA a perfectly good drive, don't you?
So rma SSD and say what? If on GPT partition and new install of Windows 10 is fine.
Also smart is reading all fine. What you think ?
What makes you so sure any data failed to read properly? You have had no contact with the OP's system, have seen no error report, no diagnosis whatsoever except for the SMART parameters list which indicates the disk is healthy. Is that what your experience is based on?in my experience, when some data fails to read on one day, and then the next day it is read fine, it is 99% likely to be the ssd.
How else would you diagnose this issue ?
both (slow down + corruption) on both M4 SSDs.Also, why do you keep mentioning SSDs slowing down? Did you experience data corruption on your SSDs or just slow read/write speeds?
both (slow down + corruption) on both M4 SSDs.
i experienced similar bahvior to what the OP is describing, sometimes windows fail to load, sometimes it loads fine, and sometimes it is very slow to load.
this also applies to many applications, not just loading windows, but loading windows is where most issues are most noticable.
in my case i ALWAYS fix it with taking backup image, and then restoring it, without clean install.
This rules out hardware/software issues, because the same os installation works on the same hardware with no issues after doing the data refresh.
how old is the ssd ? how long did it take for errors to show up after the last windows install ?
i meant that no other hardware/software are the issue, only the ssd.
also, please answer this question:
So, how would MBR get corrupted, and not GPT?So maybe it is something with my SSD if it get corrupted on MBR partition and needs refreshing? Like i said on GPT partition all is fine.
