Windows 10 boot error

So I started my computer up this morning and ran into a bootmgr is missing error. I tinkered with it for a while till it went away, but I ran into an OS is not installed error. I tried all the system restore and backup restore options to no avail on both my windows 7 disk, and a Windows 10 USB drive. I managed to boot into windows but only through the flash drive. If I change my boot order to go directly through the hard drive, I get the same OS missing error. Anyone have a similar issue or can shed some light on a possible fix?

My crisis was not so severe. I'm curious to ask if you'd installed the October Windows Updates, which borked my own dual-boot Win7/Win10 configuration. It was somehow the interaction of those updates and my AV program -- Kaspersky 2016.

Have you tried using the original Windows install disk to repair one of the OS installations? For me, I was lucky for having nightly backup to my server. The "bare-metal" restore capabilities have saved my ass at least a handful of times.

It's not a dual boot system. I originally installed Windows 7 from the disc I have and upgraded to Windows 10. I'm pretty sure I have the new update since it says everything is up to date. If I can manage to get windows to read my flash drive as a USB or something, I want to reinstall or try to repair it. I'm not sure exactly what happened to cause this problem

How many drives do you have connected to the system?
That message means it can't find a boot device anymore, which usually means corruption of the boot sector, or malware/virus.

You should be able to repair the boot sector of the device, assuming the device is still working OK.

I only have one hhd and now a bootable flash drive.

Ok so I tried using easybcd and it apparently worked. Only now when I go into my UEFI settings, I have Windows Boot Manager in my boot priorities. Should I just leave it like that or is there a way to move it to a proper place?
