Windows 10 August 2016 lost thumbnails

I've tried, searched and followed online but since Win 10 update August this year I cannot get thumbnails back in pictured or videos.

Any ideas?

In file explorer you have to select thumbnail view in the top tab named view menu and tell it what size you want. You also have to tell it how to handle each folder if you want it for all of them.

I do not see view menu.
I click on view but do not see it either.

Advice please.

Thanks very much but i'm unable to resolve my issue.

I'd get thumbnails to display when view "details" chosen but no longer
