Windows 10 + 6970m + catalyst 15.7.1 = random driver crashes

I've been running the 15.7.1 driver since the day it became available and I've had random bouts of it crashing while windows is loading after log in. Today I saw the 15.8 beta and grabbed it to see if anything would change with it. The very first post installation boot I was greeted with a no driver present message so I reinstalled it in admin mode which seems to have worked. Have any of you experienced a similar problem with your laptops and the windows 10 amd drivers?
 
This isn't AMD specific, I have seen that on both AMD & nvidia.
It also highly depends on what the OEM did, which is why, on some laptops, you can't use the "normal" drivers, you must wait for your specific OEM version of them.
 
The overwhelming majority of the time that I have had driver issues over the years the culprit has been the amd drivers. I've switched back and forth many times and I've had way more issues with amd drivers than with NVidia.
