Window Switching Button

I currently have a Logitech MX310

Not too bad of a mouse. Pretty heavy though.... I bought it because it was bundled with a keyboard so the price was a steal [I didn't even pay as much as the mouse costs on newegg AFTER shipping^ ^]

The problem is the middle window switching button doesn't do anything and that's another reason why I bought it.

I'm currently running Vista Home Premium. I plugged in the mouse and it worked just fine but then i realized that that window switching button didn't do anything.

I've checked loitech's website. They say that vista uses it's drivers.. though what can i do to get the middle button to work...

Thanks in advance!!!

Yes, make sure you're using the Vista Drivers/software.

edit - if that doesn't work you can use a Set-Point add-on called uberoptions(google it) that adds some extra flexibility to the Set Point software.

Logitech doesn't support a lot of the older mice with it's current set of Vista drivers. Sadly, I switched from an old MX300 to my current G3 so that I could once again program the buttons. Downloading the set-point software won't help as it doesn't even detect the older mice.

Not sure if uberoptions will allow the drivers to work with an unsupported mouse, but it's worth a try.

If not, there's a really good deal on the Logitech G3 (see my post here: http://forums.anandtech.com/me...2076096&enterthread=y)) which has the same exact button layout as your MX310, but shaped more like a normal mouse.
