Aisle = better if you need to stretch your legs a lot (walk around) or have a weak bladder

Window - the better seat overall (you have a wall to lean your head on) but getting up is a bitch

What he said.

If the ride is short, meaning less than 4 to 5 hours, then window.
If Im doing international, then definately aisle, getting up and streching freely is very important on a 10 hour flight.

or the chick with the screaming baby.

Amen to that, for me it is the worst when I am on a flight with a baby that screams the entire time. After a few hours it is torture.

The best seat (other than 1st class on larger planes) is on smaller regional planes that have a single row of seats (the 'A' row seats) that are both window and aisle at the same time. I love when I get those. Other than that, I prefer window seats. I refuse to use the restrooms on airplanes, so I don't get up anyway. Plus I hate having to get up to let people out and I can't seem to nap when I'm in the middle or on the aisle. I've never had to fly overseas, but I may prefer the aisle in that case since I might be forced to use the restroom on such a long flight.

On an American Airlines MD-80, seat 7C is the best seat in the airplane.

If first class, the aisle is in the middle of the plane. In economy, seating is 3 on one side, 2 on the other. Seat 7C allows you to stretch your legs into the first class aisle.

(Yes, I did a lot of flying in a previous job.)

Yes, the single seats are the best of both worlds. The only issue being is the planes are so small, you lose anything that resembles headroom.

you could always lean against the window, sometimes enjoying the view doesnt hurt either... plus i dont go to bathrooms all that much when i am flying . when you get the aisle seat and the guy in the window seat has a shallow bladder it can get pretty annoying...

Y'all sitting in the window seats are the ones getting killed when the plane goes down.

everyone gets killed when the plane goes down.

hahaha, yeah really. and all these people that sit in the exit row seat because it means they're the first one out? well when you hit the ground at 400 mph, the last thing you'll have to worry about is beating a mad rush for the door...
