Window cutting w/ Dremel...more RPM is better?

Im about to cut a window on my sidepanel... just wondering if a higher RPM will yield better results? Its an Antec SX case by the way... 🙂

It should cut a lot better giving you more control.

I would have to recomend a jigsaw for a job like that. Cuts much faster and is easier to control. You will eat up alot of cutting disks and take much longer. I used a jigsaw to cut the hole and the dremel to clean up the edges.

And make sure you use masking tape around the good edges. I did and it saved me from a few scratches when the dremel zipped off the side during clean up.

Same here, I used a jigsaw for my side panel and lexan, works wonders.

Another vote for jigsaw/reciprocating saw. Go buy one if you do much of this stuff, they come in very handy.

Use a metal cutting blade (obviously) for the sheetmetal. I don't know what to call the blade I used for cutting the plexiglass, but get one that will cut quickly, or else you'll end up heating the plexiglass and cause it to melt back together right behind the blade 😛
