Yeah...we have a high wind warning here for the night. Sucks...or blows.

I usually don't mind wind too much - unless I have a flight to catch somewhere

Our seasonal vortex started kicking in this week. From now through April, the local version of the Santa Anna wind will roll off the mountains to the west, cross the valley, deflect around the mountain range to the south, picking up speed, and blast our neighborhood. Still beats Cheyenne though where hurricane strength winds were just a bad hair day.

Wind ruined another night last night of giving out Animal Crackers for people coming to see my Xmas lights. I had to shut it down just an hour or so into the night. I have to go fix things again that got blown over, its usually not this bad, this is the third time win has blown over decorations.

Wind didn't really materialize here over night...instead, we got SNOW!

Fortunately, only about 1/2" this time...much easier to deal with than the 4" we got last week.

Eats wind like a fattie eats cheese poofs.

Last Thursday was ~20F with 40mph winds. Miserable. Friday was still 20, but 10mph wind. It was glorious. A perfect winter day.

Nah...a PERFECT winter day is temps between about 60 and 85, with a gentle breeze and a bucket full of ice cold beer.

I love wind except when I'm trying to take pictures on hikes. Otherwise, bring it on.

Speaking of wind I need to put up a tower one day and a wind meter thingy so I can track the wind for a year. Direction as well. Would give me an idea if a wind turbine would be viable in my area. Lot of trees though so not really ideal. Vertical axis would probably work better than standard in a case like this.

I'll never forget how much I hated wind when I was trying to put up vinyl siding on a ladder and on the roof.
