We got hit with some pretty intense wind gusts yesterday and last night due to a strong front blasting through the northeast. This morning my neighbor called me and told me I needed to come over and look at our camper.

Here is the carnage that I was met with

Guess I know what I will be using the Camping World gift card I won at the camper show for.

yeah, we have a place on campus called "the wind tunnel", because for some reason it's ALWAYS windy in that corridor. Last night I was walking through the wind tunnel to go home and the gusts were just TREMENDOUS. A leaf hit me in the back of the arm and it almost felt like a knife for a split second, it was crazy.

Ah hell, the wind just tore the cover...I was expecting to find the tent trailer in a tree in the neighbor's yard or something good.

Son, I am disappoint.

Cool story bro...

LOL...in all seriousness though, youre lucky it was just the cover...any large cheap tarp can cover it...I was expecting a little more carnage!

Well you can't accuse me of false advertising...

I did clearly put the word COVER right in the thread title ;)

When you said cover, I expected the hard shell top to have been gone. I agree. Thread didn't deliver :^P

Yeah - wife wants a full travel trailer.

One minor problem is that our current tow vehicle ('03 Explorer V6 WITHOUT tow package) limits us to 3500 lbs. Soooooooo, it will have to be new tow vehicle FIRST, then comes the camper.

We are looking at 2-3 year old F150s... man are trucks expensive! Too bad those winds didn't land a big tree trunk on the Explorer :D
