Winchester/939 issues?

I want to but a Gagabyte GA-K8NS Untra-939 from newegg. How can I be sure it will work with a Winchester (90nm)?
 
I think you meant 939 when u typed 393 in the summary line =)

I don't know specifically about the Gigabyte boards however w/ other brands all you have to do is flash the bios. Sometimes, if can be quite difficult because you need a 130nm to do so but I believe there are other ways to do this, they are just unknown to me =\

This is exactly the scenario I am hoping to avoid - I do not have a 130nm with which to flash.
